Amitec is a European consulting and technology company specializing in industrial data platforms, analytics, and digital transformation for the process industry, with deep roots in the AVEVA PI System and the broader AVEVA ecosystem.

Today, we are around 85 people working across Norway, Germany, Poland, the UK, the Czech Republic and Finland. We're looking for a Financial Controller to strengthen our finance function and support the business with reliable financial reporting and insight.

The role

You'll take ownership of our day-to-day finance operations, including accounting, payroll preparation, invoicing and month-end reporting. You'll also play an important role in budgeting, forecasting and providing financial insight to the leadership team.

You'll report to our CEO and work closely with people across the business. The role combines hands-on finance work with analysis and improvement, giving you the opportunity to help develop our finance function as the company continues to grow.

Key responsibilities

• Accounting and month-end/year-end closing

• Monthly reporting and financial analysis for the leadership team

• Customer invoicing and follow-up on transactions

• Payroll preparation, working alongside our external payroll provider

• Account reconciliations and financial quality assurance

• Budgeting, forecasting and financial planning

• Improving finance processes and routines

• Audit support and compliance work
  

Who we are looking for

You hold a degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field and have experience from accounting, controlling or a similar role. You have a solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting, strong Excel skills, and you're comfortable working with data analysis tools and accounting systems. We currently use PowerOffice, so experience with PowerOffice or similar financial systems is an advantage.

You're structured, accurate and quality-conscious, with high integrity and a strong ability to follow through. You have an analytical mindset and are able to identify risks as well as opportunities for improvement.

You work independently, take ownership and are proactive in getting things done. At the same time, you build trust and collaborate well with people across the organization. You communicate clearly in both Norwegian and English, verbally and in writing.
